No. Not currently. I used Duolingo but only the free version. Classroom based learning leaves me cold. Currently using 2nd hand Berlitz CD’s Ian car and occasional download on Apple Music

Sounds like you're really working on listening a lot. 💪 Listening is my main input as well, but I find I let myself get too comfortable with just passively understanding and need to prioritize active use through speaking and writing, too. ChatGPT has been a nice way to practice speaking without getting too stressed or nervous. It's not perfect and nothing like talking to a human, but it can be a nice way to practice.

I've personally experimented a bit with Duolingo many years ago, and I know a lot of people find it useful and like that it helps them stay consistent. While it has some benefits, it lacks meaningful communication practice. I'd encourage learners to evaluate how useful tools like Duolingo or ChatGPT (or tutors/teachers for that matter) are for their specific goals. I think lots of different tools can be a part of our journeys at different stages. Have you used any apps that you'd recommend?
