I am a fantastic rote learner - so I try to avoid it at all costs in my language learning! It's very easy for me to learn a whole song or poem in Spanish and recite it word for word, and yet not know why I am saying what I am saying or how to apply it to what I want to say in real life situations. That said, I still haven't actually learned the best way for me to learn, so I will be paying attention to this!
Hi Sophie. It's great you know yourself so well, especially when it comes to which types of temptations to avoid. 😅 I'm sure you'll find a way to leverage your strengths. 💪When I writ in my journal, I try to incorporate the new words I've memorized from my vocabulary section. Sometimes what I'm writing is not 100% true 🙈, but it gives me an opportunity to use the vocab in context.
Thanks for sharing, Christina. I’m looking forward to reading more about your program as I fine tune my Spanish from vocabulary to actually getting up the courage to speak it when I encounter a Spanish speaker
Hi Liz, thanks for your comment. 💪 I'll be sharing more in the coming days. I totally know what you mean about plucking up the courage to speak a language you've been studying. Sometimes that's actually the hardest part. 😅
I can't wait to participate in the challenge 💯
Great Zar! I’m really excited to share it with you. What language(s) are you working on?
Honestly that changes on a frequent basis too lol but once I choose a language, I'll make sure to enroll in the program

I saw similar stuff in China. The kids would copy pages and pages of lists and notes but were reluctant to have a simple conversation.
Yeah, I think it’s a common technique in many places. 😅
It's easier to teach that way, but...
💪💪 Thanks Dalila!
